Paint a picture with words - mental imagaines - set one and a FREEBIE - about autism awareness

This is one of my favorite products I've made and I'm hoping you all love it just as much as I do.  I started making it for my son, who has autism and HATES writing (almost as much as math haha)  I figured this would be a great way to get him to write and see what he knows and get him to pay attention to detail more.  Excitingly he LOVES these worksheets and asks to do more.  This definitely put a huge smile on my face.  I've had many teachers telling me how much they love them so far and the students are enjoying doing them and learning as they go.

Paint a picture with words let the students give their own answers, and I love reading what they come up with and hearing them talk about each subject.  I made a varied of different subjects in this packet.  There's 26 different pages and the subjects range from superheroes to bullying in school. 

There's Easter, Earth day, and Mother's day in this packet also.

Light it up blue - Autism Awareness

I want to share with you all my latest project I put on Teachers pay Teachers.  I'm so thankful for my son and I'm happy to express it everyday anyway I can.  I made a Light it up blue - Autism Awareness packet, in the hopes to spread awareness.

I added posters, bookmarkers, writing prompts, badges, reminders for the students to take home, and a bulletin board project.

I love the bulletin board project, because the kids can freely write what they think and know about autism and autism awareness.  Then as other children pass the bulletin board they can look at it and it will start conversations.  A perfect way to spread awareness.

I truly believe awareness is the key to understanding.

My son and I wrote a book about autism and I LOVE it!!

I sat my son down and asked him lots of questions and talked to him about autism.  We talked about how he felt about everyday things that affect his daily life.  He gave the answers then I typed it up and added extra information pages after the book.

The book is called "I'm a kid with autism... And here's the top 10 things I'd like you to know about me...

All about Reading

I've been looking into tons of different curriculum for next year and I'm so excited about finding All about Reading!!!  It looks amazing and fun for Adam.  He has such a problem with comprehension, and I think this program will work perfectly.



                                                    I'm going to purchase level 2

to finish out this school year and I'm hoping we will finish before the following year begins.  If not we will complete it and then start on level 3.

I haven't purchased the reading interactive kit yet, but I will be getting it next!! 

I'm so excited and cannot wait for it to coming..... hoping by the end of the week.

Getting healthy!

I've been using the trampoline and treadmill everyday - tomorrow will be a week 😄. Today I had a banana and yogurt for breakfast, tuna and crackers and an orange for lunch, dinner chicken salad and rice.  Lots of water!!!  

A new year - a new me!

I'm starting this new year with a goal to lose weight and get healthy!!!  I've been using my treadmill and eating healthy.  I'm loving it!  I join a beachbody club on facebook - my cousin is in charge of the group.  She had us all make sweat cash jars, when we lose a pound - put a quarter or dollar in!!  I'm hoping to get this jar filled and buy new smaller clothes!!! 

 

Wish me luck in my weight lose adventure!!!  I will be updating daily on my loss😄

Adam 10th birthday!!!

Today is my son, Adam's 10th birthday!!!! 


The time went so fast, but I loved every minute of being his momma!!!!  I'm sure the next ten will go just as fast :(  haha I can wait for the teenage years!!!!!!!  We will be busy most of the day preparing gift bags and wrapping presents then having dinner at Pizza Hut :)  My husband will be gone for a couple weeks, so we are waiting for him to come back to have the party.  I sure hope this doesn't confuse Adam, well I think he'll be excited to celebrate for two months!!!

Taking the day off

Taking the day off to go to the dentist.  Not my favorite place at all!!! Hoping for a quick painless visit!!! The waiting is the worst haha!! Just sitting here waiting for someone to dig around on your mouth and point out what you need done :). Smiles - I hope everyone is having an awesome day!  It's beautiful outside, but it's calling for rain by the end if the week.

Lazy Sundays

Having a relaxing Sunday with my family. Husband and son are busy watching tv.  I'm sewing Adam a couple pairs of pants for school.  I didn't know how to see until Adam needed me too!  He has such a sensitive problem with clothes.  I'm hoping he outgrows it or is able to wear jeans in a few years.  I can only make one style now an they remind me of my grandpa and his favorite pants haha!  They are comforable and easy to wear, but not in style at all.  But they are fine for second grade.  I might just take a class!!!

I'm also putting items in my wishlist for TpT!! Loving all the stores having sales this weekend!!!

I just finished my All about emotions unit!!!  This is one of my favorite units I have made so far.  This is so helpful with children who have special needs.  It is a great learning tool to teach about feelings.
