How to make Instagram story highlight covers tutorial and a free TpT product!!

When someone views your profile page -

the first things they see are:

1.The profile picture

2.Your bio information

3.Your highlight covers

Remember your profile page is everyone’s first impression of you!

You might be asking…

What’s a highlight cover?

They are the highlight icon covers for your profile page. They are great for grouping and saving similar content in one place and showcasing them.

Once you add to the highlights the material stays until you delete it.

Here's how I did it:

step by step easy instructions.

Click design

Slide size

The make the document 8.5 x 11 portrait

Click insert

Shapes

Add a rectangle – center it in the middle of your page

Size 11 x 6.19

Click Shape format

Shape fill

pick any color you want for your background

You do not need to have a shape outline

Click insert

Shapes

Add a circle – center it in the middle of your rectangle

size 5 x 5

Click shape format

shape fill

pick any color you want for the inside of the circle

Click shape outline and choose a color for the outside of the circle then click weight and pick how thick you want the outline

I did 4 1/2

Below is a template for the correct size you need to make the story highlight cover button.

You can add clipart, words, just use a color, or anything you come up with to design your covers and give them personally. You want them to reflex you and your style.

Here are a few examples:

You can make them any style you’d like too.

When you’re finished making your design image.

SAVE it in PowerPoint.

This way you can edit on or change it at anytime.

You need to upload your cover image as a picture on the internet in a secure place, that’s easy to access.

There are a few ways you can do this:

1.A secret board on Pinterest

2.Your blog – in an unpublished post

3.Your Facebook group

4.Anywhere that you can excess the picture quickly.

If you have highlights already on your profile page and you’re making the cover for it. Click which button you’re making the cover for right now.

Go back to your profile page.

Click the highlight button you just added the image.

CONGRATULATIONS -YOUR BUTTON COVER IS FINISHED!

TPT QUOTEBOX tutorial and Tpt free product!!

I wanted to make an image for my quotebox on TpT, but it wasn’t easy to find the correct steps anywhere on the internet. It took me a long couple days to research and get it done. I’m very happy with it and glad it’s finally finished. I had the same quote up there for years, and it was plain and boring. Once I got it done, I wanted to blog about it to have the information saved. And I knew others were in the same boat, looking for an easy tutorial to help make your store look amazing!

First you might be asking...

What’s a QUOTEBOX image?

It’s the gray space beside your profile picture on your TpT page. You can either write a quote/message in the space or add an image.
Adding a picture makes your store more inviting and pretty.

Here's how I did it:

Step 1:

Open a new file in PowerPoint.

Click design

Slide size

The make the slide 4.7 x 1.5

This will be a JPEG or PNG image

that’s 450 x 150 pixels.

Step 2:

You can make your background transparent or color it to match the gray background on TpT.

To make it gray –

Click design

Format background color

Click the arrow next to color

click more color, then custom

Color code: RGB

Red – 242

Green – 242

Blue – 242

or use the color code - #f2f2f2f2

Step 3:

DESIGN YOUR IMAGE!

Make sure you use the entire slide, but make sure everything it on the slide. If you leave it off a little, it will be cut off when you save it.

You can add covers for the files you’ve made, clipart, words, an inspiring quote, something you want your buyers to see, something you put on sale, something you just made. Use your imagination and be creative. You want your buyers to want to come back. Make it inviting and friendly. You can simply write a welcome message for your buyers.

Have fun and make it reflect your personality.

Step 4:

SAVE YOUR DESIGN

When you’re finished making your design image.

SAVE it in PowerPoint.

This way you can edit on or change it at anytime.

Then save it as a PNG picture slide.

Step 5:

UPLOAD YOUR IMAGE

You now need to upload your image to the internet.

You can use photobucket, your blog, pinterest, or anywhere that’s secure.

Here's the links to photobucket and pinterest for you to pick from to upload your image.

If you choose pinterest, make a secret board to upload your imagine. You don’t want others using it. You can also keep this board and upload all your images to it, so they’re all in one spot.

Once your image in uploaded and save to a secure place on the internet. Right click and save the direct link. You need to copy the link for the next step.
