Wednesday

If you homeschool please help me deside????

I have my son in preschool at the moment and my sister is his teacher.  They have always been like oil and water.  But she promised that she would help him and that he would do great in her class.  Well, he has my stubborn streak in him and isn't the best listener.  So how they tell him 2 times what they want him to do and then take him by the arm there and make him do it.  Or grab his hands and make him pick up whatever they are asking him to pick up.  I am not to sure of the force or the tone of their voices, but he is now hitting them.  He has never done this in school before.  He went last year and all through the summer, then started the year out good.  Now this is happening everyday this week and I am getting texts from my sister that they aren't doing anything differently.  It just wierd that he would hit without a reason.  And she let me know that she is recommending he be tested and labeling him a behavioral problem child.  WHAT????  I kept him home today and he and I hung out.  We did arts and crafts, computer work on brainpop (which he loves) and made lunch and brownies together.  I didn't have much of a problem getting him to do whatever asked.

She also asked if I would pick him up at 1:00 from now on because at 1:15 they lay down for naptime and he doesn't nap and wants to play and read.  So he will miss naptime, snack time and free time.  Free time is his favorite time of the whole day.

I do not know what to do.  I have been looking up home schooling and cyber schools and I am at a loss and would love advise from you all.

Thursday

My son's birthday is quickly approaching!!

My son will be turing 6 at the end of the month and I am so excited for his party.  We are going to have a Toy Story theme and a friend is making the cakes and she does a fabulous job every year.  We usually invite so many family and friends that we home is packed and the back yard is filled too.  But this year, I asked him who all he wanted to invite to his birthday party? He replied, Billy, Madison and Brody.  I said, okay, but who else.  He said, no body else.  I named off a few others and simply said no thanks to most of them.  So for the first time, we are going to do a very low key party ~ hoping no one gets mad that they weren't invited.  But it is his party.  I am going to invite grandparents, his aunts and uncles, and his cousins.  No more extended family or my husband's and my friends and their families.

How I am coming up with all of the ideas to make the Toy Story theme.  Of course the cake will be Buzz and Woody.  I have a table cloth and cake plates.  I am going to go and get some of the decorations and the goody bags today.

This will also be the first year he gets to take stuff in for his party at school.  We are going to take ice cream and cones ~ Adam's favorite dessert!!! YUMMY!  and goody bags.   The teacher has the whole day all about the child and she does all kinds of neat things all day long.  One thing I know she does is have all of the children that day make birthday cards, I think that is so cute.

Well I am off to get everyone up and ready for school and go shopping!!!

Sunday

Mad at my mom!

Last night my husband and I went to his 15 year class reunion and my mom came over to babysit.  My sister's son (who's 12) was already here hanging with Adam.

As soon as she comes in she asks my husband to help her put flooring in her basement, then said if you do I buy you a case of beer and give you a lap dance ?????? what the hell.  I said, Mom please don't act like a hooker to my husband!   My mom, Oh I was just teasing heehee!

She has started hanging with some bar hoppers and has started acting like them ~ gross!

Then I came home and she was acting like she was so proud at yelling at Adam for rewinding the movie to watch the same part again. And said they got into a 15 minute yelling match and then said, and guess who won??  ME!  I thought ~ RUDE!  He knows he is allowed to do it and she knew it too.  I do not understand why people think it funny to try to teach him this is how it is instead of just being a grandma and loving them.

Then I noticed a mark on his forhead from falling I was told.

They didn't get a long the whole time and my nephew told me my mom was mean to my son the whole time.
I am so mad and don't know what I just do..............................

Saturday

September 11th

I remember where I was all to well............... I was the manager of Ames department store at the time and we just stood and watched the TVs and listen to all of the tragic news stories coming. I was so scaried because my brother was in the Army at the time overseas and we didn't know if he was ok, it took us a week to hear from him.

My heart and prayers go out to all of the men and women serving for our country and our freedom!

Thank you all!

Wednesday

Amazingly long day!

I have been busy seen I got up (to early) this morning.  First getting ready and out the door to drop Adam off to school ~ amazingly we got there a few minutes earily.  Then off to the store for a supplies.  Then I had to go into work to get everything ready for my meetings.  It took me 5 hours to prepare all of the agendas and copies needed and to set up.  Then phone calls until my ear hurt ~ LOL!!!  Everything set and ready (amazingly)!!!

Then off to pick Adam up from school and get ice cream from our favorite ice cream shop - YUMMY!  But I was being good, so Adam was the only one enjoying this yummy treat today.  Then I had to take him home and get myself ready for the meetings that started at 4:30.  I woke my husband up, who works 3rd shift - so he could watch our son.

Oh crap, it's my mom's birthday ~ a quick call to let her know I was thinking about her and to wish her a happy birthday and hope that she was having a great day :)

Time to go and pick up the 12 pizzas waiting for me at Little Ceasars.  Everyone waiting was mad, because I took all of the pizzas as soon as I walked in.  But I called and ordered ahead (I love that you can do this)  I guess not a good idea to hog all the pizza right before dinner time :(

Just making it to the meeting ~ where all of the teenagers where waiting and wanting hugs.  I work with some awesome kids.  They do such an amazing job of customer service and are always smiling!!!  We run the biggest events in our area.  Hockey rocks!

The meeting, of course took to long and the complaining started that they had thinks to do.  So being the easy going girl I am, I cut the last meeting short and release them to go enjoy the last couple of hours of daylight.  As I cleaned up the meeting and cleaned the concession area from all the pop someone blasted ~ it seemed like 6 miles!!

Finally done and heading home!!!  I took the last two pizzas home for my family and saw smiles all around!
Awwww, how wonderful it is to be home.

Hung out with Matt and Adam for a little, then Matt was off to work and Adam to dreamland and me to blogheaven!

And that was my day in a nut shell haha!
